The incarnation of Jesus Christ is a fundamental doctrine because it recognizes the Deity of Christ. Jn 1:14 – “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us”. Christ is part of the Trinity of God, existing from eternity to eternity (without beginning or end). Christ identified Himself as “God” many times. It is His Deity that enabled Him to pay a penalty that would be sufficient for all mankind thruout history.

The incarnation of Christ is the fulfillment of the “plan” that began with God “In the beginning…” Gen 1:1 and continuing thruout history. Christ IS “the plan”.

Christ’s Divinity defines God’s love for us.

Well said Wayne! His deity is what enabled him to overcome the Adamic nature of sin, so that truly he could be the complete and perfect sacrifice for sin! Our sin!
